Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Jinghua Weikang Capsules combined with triple therapies for helicobacter pylori (HP) positive chronic gastritis. Methods：A total of 90 cases of patients with Hp positive chronic gastritis were included in the study and were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group according to the odd-even number method，with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given triple therapies with amoxicillin，clarithromycin and rabeprazole，and the observation group was additionally treated with Jinghua Weikang Capsules based on the treatment of the control group. After one month of treatment，clinical effects，Hp eradication rates，traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and levels of inflammatory factors including interleukin- 8 (IL- 8)，interleukin- 10 (IL- 10) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in serum in the two groups were observed and compared. Results：The total effective rate was 95.56% in the observation group and 82.22% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). The Hp eradication rate was 84.44% in the observation group and 64.44% in the control group， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of scores of TCM syndromes including epigastric pain，epigastric distension， dry and bitter mouth， acid reflux and sloppy stool between the two groups (P＞0.05). After treatment，all the above TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)；the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Jinghua Weikang Capsules combined with triple therapies for Hp positive chronic gastritis can help improve clinical effect and Hp clearance rate， relieve clinical symptoms and reduce inflammatory responses in the body.
