Clinical Study on Auricular Point Seed-Pressing Combined with Western Medicine for Chronic Superficial Gastritis with Liver-Stomach Qi Stagnation Syndrome
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of auricular point seed- pressing combined with western medicine for chronic superficial gastritis with liver- stomach qi stagnation syndrome. Methods: A total of 152 cases of patients with chronic superficial gastritis with liver- stomach qi stagnation syndrome were divided into the control group and the auricular point group according to the method of sampling, with 76 cases in each group. Both groups received routine nursing; the control group was additionally treated with Domperidone Tablets,Omeprazole Enteric- Coated Tablets combined with therapeutic apparatus for gastrointestinal function, and those infected patients with helicobacter pylori (Hp) were treated with Clarithromycin Tablets, Amoxicillin Capsules, Colloidal Bismuth Capsules and Pantoprazole Tablets; the auricular point group was additionally treated with auricular point seed-pressing based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) before and after treatment, the clinical effects, and the infection rate of Hp were compared between the two groups. Results: After a 4-week treatment, the total effective rate of clinical effect was 89.47% in the auricular point group, higher than that of 77.63% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of distending and pain in gastric cavity, fullness in chest and hypochondrium, and belching in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the scores of distending and pain in gastric cavity, fullness in chest and hypochondrium, and belching in the auricular point group were lower than those in the control group (P< 0.05). After treatment for 2 and 4 weeks, the VAS scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the VAS score in the auricular point group was lower than that in the control group at the same period (P<0.05). The infection rate of Hp in the auricular point group was lower than that in the control group, but there was no significant difference being found between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Auricular point seed- pressing combined with western medicine has a good curative effect in treating chronic superficial gastritis with liver-stomach qi stagnation syndrome, and can effectively improve clinical symptoms and relieve stomach pain.
