Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Weiqi Decoction combined with western medicine for chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) with blood stasis in the stomach collateral syndrome. Methods：A total of 60 cases of CAG patients with blood stasis in the stomach collateral syndrome were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method，with 30 cases in each group，both groups dropped 1 case during the study，and 29 cases were finally included respectively. The control group was treated with routine western medicine including Teprenone Capsules，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Weiqi Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 1 month. The clinical effects，scores of gastric mucosae， and the levels of gastrin (GAS)， calcitonin gene- related peptide (CGRP)， endothelin (ET) and inflammatory indexes [tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)，C-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6)] were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 93.10% in the treatment group， higher than that of 68.97% in the control group (P＜0.05). The scores of gastric mucosae in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the above score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). The levels of plasma GAS and serum CGRP in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the levels of serum ET in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)；the levels of plasma GAS and serum CGRP in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the levels of serum ET in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). The levels of TNF- α， CRP and IL- 6 in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the levels of TNF-α，CRP and IL-6 in serum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion：Weiqi Decoction combined with western medicine has a significant curative effect in the treatment of CAG with blood stasis in the stomach collateral syndrome， which can improve the gastric mucosae and gastrointestinal hormone levels，and reduce inflammatory responses.
