Abstract:Objective:To study the compatibility law of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of hyperthyroidism in the national patent database through data mining, and provide ideas for clinical treatment and new drug research and development. Methods: The invention patents of Chinese herbal compounds for treating hyperthyroidism from the establishment of the national patent database to October 27, 2022 were retrieved. The prescription database was established by using Microsoft Excel, and the qualified data were analyzed by association rules, cluster analysis and data mining using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 and IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0 software. Results: A total of 91 compound patents were screened for the treatment of hyperthyroidism, involving 318 Chinese medicines, of which the highfrequency Chinese medicines were Prunellae Spica (45 times,49.45%),Bupleuri Radix (34 times,37.36%), Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus (33 times, 36.26% ), Laminariae Thallus Eckloniae Thallus (33 times, 35.16%),and Sargassum (30 times,32.97%),which mainly belonged to the liver and lung meridians. The drug properties were mainly cold, and the drug flavors were mainly bitter, sweet and pungent. The association rule analysis obtained 9 groups of drugs,and the cluster analysis was divided into 4 categories. Conclusion: The treatment of hyperthyroidism with patented Chinese herbal compound should closely follow the pathogenesis characteristics of "qi", "phlegm", "fire" and "blood stasis". The basis of the drug treatment can be considered to use Paeoniae Radix Alba, Rehmanniae Radix, Bupleuri Radix, Astragali Radix,Prunellae Spica,Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus and Ostreae Concha,and the basic drug pairs can be considered to use Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium- Cyperi Rhizoma, Laminariae Thallus Eckloniae Thallus- Sargassum,and Scrophulariae Radix-Dioscorea Bulbifera.
