Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of shaking needling combined with shaking cupping on external epicondylitis of humerus. Methods: A total of 100 patients with external epicondylitis of humerus were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine acupuncture, and the observation group was given the therapy of shaking needling combined with shaking cupping. The clinical effects, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Mayo Elbow Performance Score (MEPS) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The VAS scores in the two groups after one week and two weeks of treatment were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the MEPS were increased (P<0.05). The VAS scores after one week and two weeks of treatment in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the MEPS in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of shaking needling combined with shaking cupping has a definite effect on treating external epicondylitis of humerus, which can effectively relieve pain and improve elbow joint function.
