Clinical Effect and Safety of the Method of Cleaning the Gallbladder and Harmonizing the Stomach in the Treatment of Bile Reflux Gastritis:A Meta-analysis
Abstract: Objective: To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of the method of cleaning the gallbladder and harmonizing the stomach in the treatment of bile reflux gastritis (BRG). Methods:To search domestic and foreign databases and collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the treatment of BRG with the method of cleaning the gallbladder and harmonizing the stomach compared to conventional western medicine, which were officially published from January 2013 to December 2022. The "Cochrane Bias Risk Assessment" tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included study, and the collected data were analyzed using RevMan5.3 software. Results:The 28 clinical RCTs included a total of 2 177 samples, including 1 089 cases in the observation group and 1 088 cases in the control group. The analysis found that the method of cleaning the gallbladder and harmonizing the stomach was superior to conventional western medicine in terms of total effective rate, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score, motilin(MTL), gastrin(GAS), bile reflux, and improvement of gastric mucosa. Adverse reactions and recurrence rates were lower than those of western medicine treatment. Conclusion: The method of cleaning the gallbladder and harmonizing the stomach for treating BRG is more effective, safer, and less recurrence than conventional treatment with western medicine alone.
