Abstract： Scapulohumeral periarthritis， with pain and limited joint activity as its main clinical characteristics，seriously affects the daily life and health of patients. A large number of studies have found that the oral administration and external application of Chinese medicine， acupuncture and moxibustion， tuina，cupping，acupotomy，and other external treatment methods of Chinese medicine have significant curative effects in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis， which can alleviate local symptoms of patients，release adhesive tissue，and improve joint range of motion，have fewer adverse reactions. The authors summarize the clinical research on the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis with Chinese medicine in recent years， to provide more references for the Chinese medicine treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis.
