Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Qingre Liyan Decoction combined with western medicine for reflux laryngitis. Methods: A total of 98 cases of patients with reflux laryngitis were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method , with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with routine western medicine combined with Qingre Liyan Decoction. The contents of secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA), gastrin (GAS), procalcitonin (PCT), pepsinogen Ⅰ (PG Ⅰ), pepsinogenⅡ(PGⅡ),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB),vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), and motilin (MTL) in serum and salivary epidermal growth factors (EGF) before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects were compared between the two groups; lower esophageal sphincter pressure (LESP),upper esophageal sphincter pressure (UESP),mean value of esophageal distal contraction integral (DCI) and contractile front velocity (CFV) were compared before and after treatment between the two groups; the evaluation of Reflux Symptom Index Scale (RSI), Reflux Findings Score (RFS),Laryngopharyngeal Reflux-Health-related Quality of Life Score (LPR-HRQL) and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate was 95.92% in the treatment group, higher than that of 85.71% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the contents of PGⅠ,EGF,GAS,MTL and SIgA as well as LESP, DCI and UESP in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above indexes in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the contents of PG-Ⅱ,VIP,TNF-α,PCT,NF-κB,CFV,RSI,LPRHRQL, RFS and TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above indexes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Qingre Liyan Decoction combined with western medicine for reflux laryngitis has a definite curative effect, and can effectively relieve the symptoms and signs of reflux, improve gastrointestinal function, inflammatory response and esophageal dynamics, and enhance the quality of life.
