Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Fuzheng Xiaoliu Decoction on immune function and long- term curative effect in patients after the surgery of breast cancer. Methods:A total of 100 cases of patients underwent the surgery of breast cancer were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with routine adjuvant chemotherapy regimens according to the 2017 CACA Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer,and the observation group was additionally treated with Fuzheng Xiaoliu Decoction based on the chemotherapy regimens. The excellent and good rates,the metastasis rates,and the local recurrence rates in the two groups were compared between the two groups. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and the levels of serum tumor markers and immune function indexes were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate, metastasis rate and local recurrence rate in the observation group were 92.00% , 10.00% , and 8.00% respectively, and the total effective rate, metastasis rate and local recurrence rate in the control group were 76.00%,28.00%,and 30.00% respectively;the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05), and metastasis rate and local recurrence rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of TCM syndrome scores including fatigue and lack of strength,insomnia,dry mouth,sweating,and distending pain of the breasts between the two groups (P>0.05);after treatment,TCM syndrome scores including fatigue and lack of strength,insomnia,dry mouth, sweating, and distending pain of the breasts in the two groups were decreased (P<0.05), and the above scores in the observation groups were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), and carbohydrate antigen 153 (CA153) in serum between the two groups (P>0.05); after treatment, the levels of CEA, CA125, and CA153 in serum in the two groups were decreased (P<0.05),and the three levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,and CD3+ between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment,CD4 +,CD4 +/CD8 +,and CD3 + in the observation group were increased (P<0.05),and CD8+ was decreased (P<0.05);CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,and CD3+ in the control group were decreased (P< 0.05),and CD8 + was increased (P<0.05);CD4 +,CD4 +/CD8 +,and CD3 + in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and CD8 + was lower than that in the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Fuzheng Xiaoliu Decoction combined with conventional adjuvant chemotherapy has a satisfactory long- term effect on patients with breast cancer after surgery, which can improve Chinese medicine symptoms and immune function and reduce the levels of tumor markers.
