Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of Bairui Granules combined with Azithromycin for children with mycoplasma pneumonia (MPP) and its effects on serum hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)， vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)，serum interleukin-6 (IL-6)，and serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in patients. Methods：A total of 120 cases of MPP children were selected as the study objects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Azithromycin，and the observation group was additionally treated with the oral administration of Bairui Granules based on the treatment of the control group. Clinical effects，the disappearance time of symptoms，and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. The levels of HGF，VEGF，IL-6，and TNF-α in serum were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results：The total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group，higher than that of 85.00% in the control group (P＜0.05). The time for the abatement of fever， the disappearance of respiratory symptoms， the disappearance of lung rales， and the disappearance of lung lesions in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group (P＜0.05). During treatment，the incidence of adverse reactions was 10.0% in the observation group，lower than that of 15.0% in the control group，there being no significant difference being found in the comparison of the two groups (P＞0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of IL-6，TNF-α，HGF，and VEGF in serum between the two groups (P＞0.05). The levels of IL-6，TNF-α，HGF，and VEGF in serum after 7 and 11 days of treatment in the two groups were gradually decreased (P＜0.05)，and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at the same time point (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Bairui Granules combined with Azithromycin has a relatively good clinical effect in the treatment of MPP children， which can promote the improvement of clinical symptoms and the absorption of lung lesions in the acute stage of children and significantly reduce the levels of HGF，VEGF，IL-6，TNF-α and other inflammatory factors in serum，with no increase in adverse reactions.
