Abstract： Objective： Based on the Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform (V2.5)， this paper studies the medication rules of Chief Physician HUANG Feixiang in the diagnosis and treatment of palpitations. Methods：The outpatient prescriptions by HUANG for the treatment of palpitations，which met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria，were collected. With the help of Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform (V2.5) and advanced data mining methods such as frequency analysis， association rules and complex entropy hierarchical clustering analysis，the medication rules was analyzed. Results：A total of 106 cases were involved ， including 215 prescriptions and 86 Chinese herbs ， with a total of 2 440 using times. The top 10 herbs with frequency equal to or over 34 times were Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle，Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium，Rehmanniae Radix，Aurantii Fructus，Os Draconis，Ostreae Concha，Chuanxiong Rhizoma，Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma，Codonopsis Radix and Poria. The four qi of the used Chinese herbs were mainly cold，warm and balanced；the five flavours were mainly sweet，bitter and acrid and the channel entered into the liver，heart，spleen. The effect of the top five herbs were calming the mind， dissolving phlegm and dispelling dampness， supplementing qi，invigorating blood and dissolving stasis，and soothing the liver and rectifying qi. Based on association rule analysis，twelve groups of high-frequency herbal combinations were obtained，and the top three were Os Draconis- Ostreae Concha， Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle- Rehmanniae Radix，and Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Codonopsis Radix. Four new prescriptions were excavated based on entropy cluster analysis. Conclusion：HUANG is good at treating palpitations with herbs whose effects includes calming and nourishing the heart spirit，clearing heat and dissolving phlegm， soothing the liver and resolving constraint，boosting qi and nourishing the heart，and invigorating blood and dissolving stasis.
