Abstract： This paper introduces the clinical experience of Professor LAO Changhui in treating constraint syndrome of middle deficiency and damp-heat type with modified Banxia Xiexin Decoction. According to Professor LAO Changhui，it is better to know about the pathogenesis of constraint syndrome of middle deficiency and damp-heat type from the perspective of spleen yang failing in transportation due to the spleen and stomach being affected by liver qi depression，and take pale tongue or light red tongue，and yellow and slimy coating or yellow and thick coating as the key points of syndrome differentiation， to establish the treatment method of neutral harmonization of liver and spleen. On the basis of Banxia Xiexin Decoction，Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma，Bupleuri Radix，and Paeoniae Radix Alba are added to form the modified Banxia Xiexin Decoction to obtain a good curative effect.
