Clinical Study on Compound Yitangkang Granules Combined with Routine Interven⁃ tion Measures for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Syndrome of Dual Deficiency of Qi and Yin
Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of Compound Yitangkang Granules combined with Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained- Release Tablets on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with syndrome of dual deficiency of qi and yin based on routine intervention measures. Methods:A total of 116 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with dual deficiency qi and yin syndrome were included and randomly divided into two groups, with 58 cases in each group. The two groups were given routine intervention measures and oral administration of Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Tablets, and the observation group was additionally treated with Compound Yitangkang Granules. The two groups were treated for 12 weeks. Before and after treatment, the indexes of glucose and lipid metabolism, including fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2- hour postprandial blood glucose (P2hBG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c),triglyceride (TG),total cholesterol (TC) and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C),and indexes of oxidative stress, including superoxide dismutase (SOD),malondialdehyde (MDA),glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and reactive oxygen species(ROS) in the two groups were determined, the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores were evaluated, the clinical effects were compared and the incidence of adverse reactions were counted. Results:After treatment for 12 weeks, the total clinical effective rate was 93.10% in the observation group, higher than that of 74.14%,the difference being significant (P<0.05). The scores of fatigue and lack of strength, dry throat and mouth, dry mouth with desire for drink, feverish sensation in chest and frequent diets and easiness to hunger in the two groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above five TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of FBG, P2hBG, HbA1c,TC,TG and LDL-C in both groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above six indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Compared with those before treatment, the levels of SOD and GSH-Px in both groups were higher, and the levels of MAD and ROS were lower, differences being significant (P<0.05);the levels of SOD and GSH-Px in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the levels of MAD and ROS were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference beingfoundinthecomparisonofincidenceofadversereactionsbetweenthetwogroups(P>0.05).Conclusion: Based on routine intervention measures, Compound Yitangkang Granules combined with Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Tablets can help regulate the level of glucose and lipid metabolism of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with syndrome of dual deficiency of qi and yin, accelerate the mitigation of clinical symptoms, and improve the curative effect with good safety.
