Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of ultrasonic introduction of Chinese medicine combined with acupoint pressure stimulation patch for senile patients with insomnia complicated with depression of heart-gallbladder qi deficiency type. Methods：A total of 90 cases of senile patients with insomnia complicated with depression of heart- gallbladder qi deficiency type were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Estazolam Tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with ultrasonic introduction of Chinese medicine combined with acupoint pressure stimulation patch based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The scores of Insomnia Severity Index (ISI)，Dysfunctional Beliefs and Attitudes about Sleep (DBAS)，Self- rating Depression Scale (SDS)，Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS)，and 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF- 36) before and after treatment，and the clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 86.67% in the observation group，higher than that of 66.67% in the control group (P＜0.05). The scores of ISI，DBAS，SDS，and MADRS in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the scores of ISI，DBAS，SDS，and MADRS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The scores of physiological functioning，physiological functioning，bodily pain，general health， vitality， social functioning， emotional functioning， and mental health in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the scores of various items in SF-36 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion：On the basis of treatment with Estazolam， the ultrasonic introduction of Chinese medicine combined with acupoint pressure stimulation patch for senile patients with insomnia complicated with depression of heart- gallbladder qi deficiency type can enhance clinical effect and quality of life，improve sleep quality，and relieve depression.
