Observation on the Curative Effect of Chinese Medicine Fumigation Combined with Point Massage for Functional Dyspepsia and Its Effects on 5-HT,IL-6,and SS Levels in Serum
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine fumigation combined with point massage for functional dyspepsia and its effects on the levels of 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HT), interleukin (IL)- 6, and somatostatin (SS) in serum. Methods: A total of 100 cases of patients with functional dyspepsia were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Domperidone, and the observation group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine fumigation and point massage based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Clinical effects, gastrointestinal symptom scores, the changes in the levels of serological marker indexes including 5-HT,IL-6,and SS,recurrence rates, and the occurrence of adverse responses were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 96.00% in the observation group, higher than that of 80.00% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the symptom scores of upper abdominal distending pain, early postprandial satiety, poor appetite, and acid reflux and heartburn in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P< 0.05),and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of 5-HT in serum in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of IL- 6 and SS were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);the 5-HT level in serum in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the levels of IL-6 and SS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). During the three-month follow-up after treatment, the recurrence rate was 2.08% in the observation group and 10.00% in the control group, with no significant difference being found in the comparison between the two groups (P>0.05). During treatment, no significant adverse responses occurred in the two groups. Conclusions:Chinese medicine fumigation combined with point massage has a significant curative effect on functional dyspepsia and can effectively improve gastrointestinal serological indicators and inflammatory factor levels and reduce gastrointestinal symptoms, with a low recurrence rate.
