Abstract：The paper is to introduce the clinical experience of Prof. LYU Mingzhuang，a famous and experienced Chinese medicine physician，in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Prof. LYU believes that the basis of pathological changes of pain due to lumbar disc herniation is the obstruction of qi movement and blood flow，and that the clinical treatment of pain by Prof. LYU is characterized by unblocking the governor and conception vessels and regulating meridians and collaterals for the sake of promote qi movement and blood flow and improvement of low back pain. As for treatment，she often uses therapies of unblocking yang by scrapping skin，freeing the collaterals vessels and unblocking governor vessels etc. In clinical，she not only selects local points，but also emphasizes the concept of holism and distal point combinations，and he is especially good at using the Weizhong (BL40) and Houxi (SI3) points.
