Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of therapy of Sanjie Zhentong Capsules combined with Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets on adenomyosis. Methods：A total of 98 patients with adenomyosis were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method， with 49 cases in each group. The control group was given Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets for treatment，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Sanjie Zhentong Capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment，the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores，scores of dysmenorrhea，volume of uterus，levels of coagulation indexes，including activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT)，thrombin time (TT) and levels of fibrinogen (FIB)，and serum cancer antigen 125 (CA125) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were compared between the two groups；the clinical effects and incidence of adverse reactions in both groups were evaluated. Results：The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the TCM syndrome scores and scores of dysmenorrhea in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the volume of uterus was reduced (P＜0.05)；the above two scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group，and the volume of uterus was less than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the APTT，TT，FIB and levels of serum CA125，IL-6 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜ 0.05)；the APTT，TT FIB and levels of serum CA125，IL-6 in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Sanjie Zhentong Capsules combined with Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets has a definite curative effect on adenomyosis，which can mitigate the symptoms of dysmenorrhea of patients，improve the coagulation function and inflammatory responses，and reduce the volume of uterus with good safety.
