Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Chinese medicine point application on nausea and vomiting induced by antituberculosis drugs. Methods: A total of 104 cases of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 52 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with the Directly Observed Therapy Scheme (DOTS); the control group was additionally treated with point application with flour based on DOTS,and the treatment group was treated with point application with Chinese medicine based on DOTS. Clinical effects and the occurrence time,grading of nausea and vomiting,and incidence of gastrointestinal adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment,the total effective rate was 28.85% in the treatment group,higher than that of 5.77% in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the occurrence time of nausea and vomiting between the two groups (P>0.05).
