Abstract： This paper introduces the clinical experience of Professor TIAN Ning regulating thyroid postoperative syndrome by applying the theory of “circulation of qi movement in body”. Professor TIAN Ning believes that the postoperative syndrome of thyroid tumor in Lingnan region is characterized by abnormal exuberance of dampness and upper heat and lower cold； dampness encumbering the spleen， devitalized middle yang，failure of mediation by the middle earth，failure of upbearing and effusion of the liver wood in the left circle，and failure of constraints and downbearing of the lung metal in the right circle led to the pathological signs of water cold， wood constraint and fire flaming upward. Clinically， the treatment principles of drying water and warming earth， soothing wood and venting constraints， and coordinating water and fire were formulated. Guangdong native medicinal materials such as Yangchun Amomi Fructus， Fici Simplicissimae Radix， Pogostemonis Herba， Spatholobi Caulis， and Polygoni Multiflori Radix were commonly used to fortify the spleen and remove dampness， soothe the liver and unblock the collaterals，and enrich and nourish the kidney water. At the same time，the treatment mode of combination of internal and external treatment and harmonization of both body and mind is adopted to achieve good results.
