Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of Wuling Capsules combined with cognitive behavioral therapy for sleep disorders in Parkinson's disease. Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients with Parkinson's disease accompanied by sleep disorders were randomly divided into the trial group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cognitive behavioral therapy, and the trial group was treated with Wuling Capsules combined with cognitive behavioral therapy. The changes in the scores of the Parkinson's Disease Sleep Scale (PDSS) and 8- item version of the Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ- 8) were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. The changes in the scores of various items of sleep quality in PDSS were compared before and after treatment in the trial group. Results:After treatment, the scores of sleep quality in PDSS in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the score of sleep quality in PDSS in the trial group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of sleep quality in PDSS,including PDSS-1 (overall sleep quality),PDSS-2 (falling asleep),PDSS-3 (staying asleep),PDSS- 6 (distressing dreams),PDSS- 13 (waking tremor),and PDSS- 14 (fatigue and sleepy in the daytime) in the trial group were increased when compared with those before treatment, the differences being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of quality of life in PDQ-8 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the score of quality of life in PDQ-8 in the trial group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Wuling Capsules combined with cognitive behavioral therapy has a relatively good curative effect in treating sleep disorders in Parkinson's disease, and can improve quality of life.
