Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Jiangtang Bushen Decoction on diabetic kidney disease and its influence on patients with kidney injury. Methods： A total of 84 diabetic kidney disease patients were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group by random number table method， with 42 cases in each group. The control group was given intravenous infusion of reduced glutathione， and the treatment group was additionally given Jiangtang Bushen Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. The treatment lasted for 60 days. The levels of kidney function indexes， including α1 microglobulin (α1- MG)， urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER)， 24- hour urinary protein quantity，serum creatinine (SCr) and urinary β2 microglobulin (β2-MG)， glycemic and lipid metabolism indexes ， including postprandial 24- hour blood glucose (P2hBG) ， fasting blood glucose (FBG) and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)，lipid indexes，including total cholesterol (TC)，triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL- C)，and serum kidney injury indexes，including bone morphogenetic protein- 7 (BMP-7)，transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1)，kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM-1) and serum cystatin C (CysC) were measured before and after treatment， and the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results： The total effective rate was 90.48% in the treatment group， higher than that of 69.05% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the glomerular filtration rates in the two groups were increased (P＜0.05)，and the rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P＜ 0.05)；the levels of urinary α1-MG，UAER，24-hour urinary protein quantity，SCr and β2-MG in the two groups were decreased (P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of P2hBG，FBG，HbA1c，TC，TG and LDL-C in the two groups were decreased (P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of serum BMP-7 in the two groups were increased (P＜0.05)，and the BMP-7 level in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05)；the levels of serum TGF- β1，CysC and KIM- 1 in the two groups were decreased (P＜0.05)， and the above levels in the treatment groups were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion：Jiangtang Bushen Decoction can enhance clinical effect，improve kidney function indexes and glucose and lipid metabolism indexes of patients with diabetic kidney disease，and alleviate kidney injury.
