Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Jian'er Powder combined with routine western medicine for children with anorexia and its effect on the levels of gastric motility and pepsinogen in serum. Methods: A total of 120 cases of children with anorexia were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the observation group was additionally treated with Jian'er Powder based on the treatment of the control group. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and the levels of gastric motility indexes [neuropeptide Y (NPY), gastrin (GAS), motilin (MOT)] and pepsinogen (PG Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ) in serum were compared before and after treatment between the two groups;the clinical effects and safety in the two groups were evaluated. Results:The total effective rate was 95.00% in the observation group, higher than that of 83.33% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05); the TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of MOT,GAS,and NPY in serum in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the levels of MOT,GAS,and NPY in serum in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of PG Ⅰ and PG Ⅱ in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);the levels of PGⅠ and PGⅡ in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Jian'er Powder combined with routine western medicine for children with anorexia has a definite curative effect, and can effectively improve the levels of gastric motility and pepsinogen.
