Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Du-moxibustion on function improvement of ankylosing spondylitis. Methods:A total of 120 cases of patients with ankylosing spondylitis were selected and divided into the intervention group and the control group according to the random number table method , with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment and nursing, and the intervention group was additionally treated with Du- moxibustion based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects were observed in the two groups. Before intervention and after intervention at 30,90,and 180 days,the changes in Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI),Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Function Index (BASFI),and laboratory indexes including erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),C- reactive protein (CRP) and tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α) were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 95.0% in the intervention group, and 81.7% in the control group,the difference being significant (P<0.05). The scores of each BASDAI item were evaluated by the results of repeated measurement analysis of variance, which showed that there was a significant difference being found in the scores of BASDAI at the four time points in the two groups (P<0.05). After intervention at 30,90,and 180 days,the comparison of BASDAI scores between the two groups showed significant differences (P<0.05), and there was an interaction effect between time and group (P<0.05). The time effect and inter group effect differences of the BASFI indexes between the two groups showed significant difference (P<0.05);there is an interaction between time and inter group factors in the BASFI scores (P<0.05), and the trend of function degrees varies between the two groups over time, and the decreasing trend in the intervention group is greater than that in the control group. The time effect and inter- group effect of indexes of ESR, CRP, and TNF- α showed significant differences (P<0.05), and TNF- α in the two groups showed interaction (P<0.05). The indexes of ESR, CRP, and TNF- α were decreased with the extension of intervention time. The differences in the levels of the three indexes at 90 and 180 days after intervention showed significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on routine treatment, the curative effect of Du- moxibustion therapy is more significant, which can improve joint function and disease activity,and enhance the curative effect.
