Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of fumigation and washing with Xiaozhong Zhitong Formula on wound healing， pain of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores， and immune function in patients after hemorrhoids surgery. Methods： A total of 124 cases of patients with hemorrhoids undergoing surgical treatment were selected as the research subjects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 62 cases in each group. The control group received routine postoperative treatment and washing with potassium permanganate solution， and the observation group received fumigation and washing with Xiaozhong Zhitong Formula based on the routine postoperative treatment of the control group. The wound healing， pain of VAS scores， and immune function indexes were compared between the two groups. Results：The average wound healing days were 15.32 ± 2.77 days in the observation group， and 16.44 ± 3.03 days in the control group， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). On the first day after surgery，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of wound granulation tissue and area scores between the two groups (P＞0.05). On the seventh day after surgery， the above indexes in the two groups were decreased when compared with those on the first day after surgery (P＜0.05)，and the above indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). On the first day after surgery，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of pain of VAS scores between the two groups (P＞0.05). On the third and seventh day after surgery，the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those on the first day after surgery；on the third day after surgery，the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05)； there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of VAS scores between the two groups on the seventh day after surgery (P＞0.05). On the first day after surgery， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of CD4 + ， CD8+，and CD4+/CD8+ between the two groups (P＞0.05). On the seventh day after surgery，the levels of CD4 + and CD4 +/CD8 + in the two groups were increased when compared with those on the first day after surgery (P＜0.05)，and the levels of CD8+ were decreased when compared with those on the first day after surgery (P＜0.05). The levels of CD4+，CD4+/CD8+ in observation group were better，and CD8+ was lower than those in control group. Conclusion：The fumigation and washing with Xiaozhong Zhitong Prescription can help promote wound healing after hemorrhoids surgery， reduce pain， and to some extent improve immune function.
