Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of stimulation of Zhulian Inhibition Type Ⅰ Acupuncture at trigger points on rotator cuff injuries. Methods： A total of 100 patients with rotator cuff injuries were selected as the study objects and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine acupuncture，and the treatment group was stimulated at trigger points of the affected side's rotator cuff by Zhulian Inhibition TypeⅠAcupuncture. Both groups were treated for 14 days，once per day. The clinical effects，scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) of pain，range of motion and abduction motion of shoulder joints and Constant-Murley scores were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 96.0% in the treatment group，higher than that of 82.0% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the VAS scores in both groups were decreased (P＜0.05)， and the Constant- Murley scores were increased (P＜0.05)； the VAS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the Constant- Murley score was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the range of motion of internal rotation， external rotation， flexion， extension and abduction of shoulder joints in both groups was increased (P＜ 0.05)， and the range of motion of the above actions of shoulder joints in the treatment group was larger than that in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： The stimulation of Zhulian Inhibition Type Ⅰ Acupuncture at trigger points can effectively treat the motor function of shoulders of patients with rotator cuff injuries，improve the range of motion and mitigate the pain.
