Abstract: Objective: The Delphi method was used to establish the evaluation system for core competence of Chinese medicine specialist nurses,and to explore such an evaluation system applicable to China. Methods: Using qualitative interviews, literature review, clinical research and other methods as initial efforts to establish the evaluation system at all levels ; with 2 rounds of expert consultation on 10 Chinese medicine nursing specialists by Delphi method, the core indicators were screened and modified,and the weights at all levels were determined. Results:After 2 rounds of expert consultation, the evaluation system for core competence of Chinese medicine specialist nurses was finally determined, including 5 first-level indicators,10 second-level and 25 third-level. The effective response rates of the 2 rounds of consultation were 100% . The coefficients of judgment basis of experts, familiarity, and authority were 0.93, 0.92, and 0.925, respectively. The Kendall's W values of the first, second, and third- level indicators in the second round were 0.654, 0.250, and 0.879 (P<0.001). Conclusion: The evaluation system for core competence of Chinese medicine specialist nurses has good practical and theoretical basis and its content is scientific and reasonable with the characteristics of Chinese medicine nursing. It has certain reference value for the training direction of core competence of Chinese medicine specialist nurses in China.
