Abstract: Objective: To study the medication rule of Professor OUYANG Huiqing in treating dysmenorrhea based on data mining. Methods: The cases of Professor OUYANG Huiqing, a famous Chinese medicine practitioner in The First Clinical Medical School of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, in treating dysmenorrhea in the outpatient department, were collected. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the case database of OUYANG Huiqing in treating dysmenorrhea was established,and the statistical analysis and prescription analysis function of Chinese Medicine Inheritance Assistance Platform V3.0 were used to carry out data mining. Results:A total of 51 cases were included, involving 69 kinds of Chinese herbs. In terms of four qi,the majority was warm,followed by balanced and cold. In terms of five flavors, the majority was acrid, bitter and sweet. In terms of channel entry, the majority was the spleen, liver and stomach. In terms of efficacy, the majority was rectifying qi, supplementing deficiency,invigorating blood and dissolving stasis. There were 31 kinds of high-frequency Chinese herbs with a frequency greater than or equal to 5,among which the core herb was Aucklandiae Radix. A total of 16 herbal combinations with a frequency greater than or equal to 25 were used,including 11 combinations containing Aucklandiae Radix. Three possible combinations of new prescription were obtained by cluster analysis. Conclusion:Professor OUYANG Huiqing makes good use of Aucklandiae Radix to treat dysmenorrhea in women. The medication conforms to the physiology of qi and blood preferring warm and being averse to cold, and the majority of four qi and five flavors is acrid, warm, bitter and sweet,those with extremely cold or hot property are forbiddened.
