Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Jianpi Xingqi Qingchang Huayu Decoction on ulcerative colitis of spleen deficiency damp- heat complicated with qi stagnation and blood stasis type. Methods：A total of 54 patients with ulcerative colitis of spleen deficiency damp-heat complicated with qi stagnation and blood stasis type were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into the control group and the trial group， with 27 cases in each group. The control group was given Mesalazin Enteric- Coated Tablets for treatment， and the trial group was treated with Jianpi Xingqi Qingchang Huayu Decoction. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. Before treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment， Modified Mayo score， Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire (IBDQ) score and Baron endoscopy score for endoscopy were evaluated； the clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results：After 4 weeks of treatment，the total clinical effective rate in the trial group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05). The scores of Modified Mayo and IBDQ in both groups were higher than those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the experiment group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The Baron endoscopy scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the Baron endoscopy score in the trial group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： The curative effect of Jianpi Xingqi Qingchang Huayu Decoction has a better therapeutic effect on patients with ulcerative colitis of spleen deficiency damp-heat complicated with qi stagnation and blood stasis type than Mesalazin Enteric- Coated Tablets， which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms，promote the healing of colonic mucosa and enhance the quality of life of patients.
