Abstract:Abstract: Objective: To make a visual analysis of the literature related to the treatment of breast cancer with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) from 2013 to 2022 and summarize the research hotspots and trends in this field based on CiteSpace and VOSviewer. Methods: The relevant literature on TCM treatment of breast cancer in China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI) was retrieved, and CiteSpace and VOSviewer were used to carry out a visual analysis of the annual publication of literature, the distribution of literature sources, the authors and research institutions, and keywords. Results:A total of 1 643 papers were included, and the number of published papers showed a step increase from 2013 to 2019, and a slight decrease from 2020 to 2022. In terms of publishing journals,“Journal of New Chinese Medicine” and “Clinical Journal of Chinese Medicine” had the largest number of publications, with a total of 42 articles published. In terms of authors, there were 10 authors with publication numbers greater than or equal to 10,among which WANG Xiaomin, the author with the highest publication number, had published 24 articles. As for the situation of publishing institutions, there were 8 institutions with publication numbers greater than or equal to 15,and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine had published 45 articles, which was the highest; the main cooperative institutions were distributed between TCM universities and affiliated hospitals, and research institutions in this field were separate and independent. The co- occurrence analysis showed that the main high- frequency keywords were breast cancer, chemotherapy,Chinese medicines, breast tumors, quality of life, etc. According to the cluster analysis, keywords mainly focused on breast cancer, TCM syndrome types, quality of life, lymphedema, rocky mass in the breast, clinical observation, famous doctors' experience, and clinical experience. Keyword co- occurrence networks mainly involved breast cancer, TCM therapy, lymphedema, breast tumors, quality of life, adverse reactions, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, TCM syndrome differentiation, clinical effects, and immune function. According to the analysis of keyword bursts, the first stage was from 2013 to 2015,and the keywords with bursts included TCM treatment, postoperative, bone marrow suppression, effect observation, clinical effects, and review;the second stage was from 2015 to 2017, and the keywords with bursts included correlation, tumor metastasis, syndrome differentiation and classification, and cardiac toxicity; the third stage was from 2017 to 2019, and the keywords with bursts included point massage, postoperative chemotherapy, point application, nausea and vomiting, treatment, nursing, and anxiety; the fourth stage was from 2019 to 2022, and the keywords with bursts included moxibustion, Yanghe Decoction, malignant tumors, cluster analysis, Erxian Decoction, data mining, sleep quality, and anti- tumor. Conclusion: From 2013 to 2022, there was rich research content related to the TCM treatment of breast cancer. It is necessary for researchers and research institutions to further cooperate, pay attention to syndrome- based medicine and basic medical research evidence, and strengthen the close cooperation among multiple centers.
