Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Baoshen Decoction combined with hormones for primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS) complicated with acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods ： A total of 110 cases of patients with PNS complicated with AKI were selected as the study objects，and were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method ， with 55 cases in each group. The control group was treated with hormones， and the observation group was additionally treated with Baoshen Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 months. The clinical effects in the two groups after treatment were compared，and the levels of blood lipid，albumin and kidney function indexes were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. Results：After 2 months of treatment，the total effective rate was 87.27% in the observation group，higher than that of 60.00% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of triglyceride (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) in the two groups were decreased (P＜0.05)，and the levels of albumin were increased (P＜0.05)；the levels of TG and TC in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the level of albumin in the control group was higher than that in the control group (P＜ 0.05). After treatment，the levels of screatinine (SCr)，blood urea nitrogen (BUN)，kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM- 1)，and cystatin C (CysC) in serum in the two groups were decreased (P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion：Baoshen Decoction combined with hormones has a better clinical effect than simple application of hormones for PNS complicated with AKI，which can decrease blood lipid levels，increase albumin levels and improve kidney function.
