Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Compound Dahuang Ointment combined with Huoxue Xiaozhong Decoction on incision restoration after mixed hemorrhoid surgery. Methods：A total of 90 cases of patients with mixed hemorrhoids were divided into the control group，the observation group A，and the observation group B， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine，the observation group A was treated with Huoxue Xiaozhong Decoction based on the treatment of the control group， and the observation group B was additionally treated with Compound Dahuang Ointment based on the treatment of the observation group A. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores， Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores， wound effusion scores and the levels of inflammationrelated factors [CXC-type chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4)， interleukin-8 (IL-8)，interleukin-22 (IL-22)] were compared before and after treatment among the the three groups； the clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions in the three groups were evaluated. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group B，higher than that of 83.33% in the observation group A and 66.67% in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the total effective rate in the observation group A was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05). TCM syndrome scores， VAS scores， wound effusion scores and the levels of CXCR4，IL-8，and IL-22 in serum in the three groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and TCM syndrome score，VAS score，wound effusion score and the levels of inflammation- related factors in the observation group B were lower than those in the observation group A and the control group (P＜0.05)；the above indexes in the observation group A were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group B was lower than those in the observation group A and the control group (P＜0.05)，and the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group A was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Compound Dahuang Ointment combined with Huoxue Xiaozhong Decoction can effectively relieve postoperative incision pain and reduce inflammatory responses，with a significant clinical effect and high safety.
