Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of point application combined with deglutition instrument on dysphagia caused by cerebral infarction at convalescence. Methods: A total of 150 patients with cerebral infarction at convalescence were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 75 cases in each group. The observation group was given point application combined with deglutition instrument, and the control group was only treated with deglutition instrument. The clinical effect, swallowing function and quality of life in the two groups were evaluated. Results:The total effective rate was 90.67% in the observation group, higher than that of 78.67% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the grading of water swallowing test (WST) in the two groups was improved (P<0.05),and the improvement in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of TV Fluorescence Swallowing Study (VFSS),Functional Oral Intake Scale (FOIS) and Swallowing-Quality of Life (SWAL-QOL) in the two groups were increased (P<0.05),and the above scores were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05);the scores of Standardized Swallowing Assessment (SSA) in the two groups were decreased (P<0.05), and the SSA score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of point application combined with deglutition instrument can effectively improve the swallowing function and food ability of patients with dysphagia caused by cerebral infarction at convalescence, and enhance the quality of life and clinical effect.
