Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Zhiqi Granules combined with Haloperidol Tablets on tourette syndrome in children of liver- kidney yin deficiency type. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on the clinical data of 110 children with tourette syndrome of the liver and kidney yin deficiency type. The children were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,with 55 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with Zhiqi Granules combined with Haloperidol Tablets , and the control group was treated with Haloperidol Tablets. Both groups were treated for three consecutive courses of treatment, with 4 weeks as a course. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and the scores of Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS) were evaluated before and after treatment. The levels of serum lead were detected. Clinical effects were compared between the two groups. The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was observed. Results:After three treatment courses, the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P< 0.05). The scores of shaking head and shrugging shoulders, winking, shaking limbs, emaciation, and cheeks flushing in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above five TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the contro group (P<0.05). The levels of serum lead in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the level of serum lead in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of number of times,frequency,and intensity of tics in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above three scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Zhiqi Granules combined with Haloperidol Tablets for tourette syndrome in children of liver-kidney yin deficiency type can enhance clinical effects, effectively relieve symptoms, promote the excretion of lead in the body, and improve muscle function,with few adverse reactions and good safety.
