Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Antai Decoction combined with western medicine on early threatened abortion. Methods: A total of 164 patients with early threatened abortion were divided into the control group and the trial group by random number table method , with 82 patients in each group. The control group was treated with Progesterone Injection and Dydrogesterone, and the trial group was treated with Antai Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The basal body temperature, hormone levels and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores in the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the clinical effects and pregnancy outcome were evaluated in the two groups. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 84.15% in the trial group, higher than that of 70.73% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum progesterone (P), estradiol (E2), β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) and basal body temperature in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the TCM syndrome scores were decreased (P<0.05); after treatment, the levels of P,E2,β-HCG and basal body temperature in the trial group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the TCM syndrome scores were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The abortion rate in the trial group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the full-term birth rate was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the preterm birth rate between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Antai Decoction combined with western medicine has a significant therapeutic effect on early threatened abortion, which can regulate the hormone levels of patients, improve the pregnancy outcome and enhance the effect of fetal protection.
