Abstract: This paper introduces Professor XU Li's clinical experience in treating congenital muscular torticollis in children. Professor XU believes that the pathogenesis of this disease is a congenital birth disease, lies in the kidney. With the development of children's gross motor, the role of the spleen in governing the limbs is becoming more and more important in the development and outcome of the disease. Therefore, the principle of differentiation and treatment is mainly to treat the spleen and the kidney meridians simultaneously, and attention is also paid to the maintenance of muscles. From the perspective of modern anatomy, this disease should not only be the problem of local sternocleidomastoid muscle, but also the surrounding muscles (shoulder and back, waist, lower limbs) with compensatory changes,so the differentiated treatment should be in a whole to consolidate and protect. In terms of treatment objects,it is not suitable to limit to children, and the attention should also be paid to the psychological state of the parents of children;the negative emotions conveyed to children by parents during daily interaction should be reduced, thereby improving the overall effects. Specific treatments include method of supplementing the spleen and boosting kidney, method of kneading, pinching, pulling and twirling, overall operation method and family care.
