Clinical Study on Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction Combined with Conventional Western Medicine for Acute Pancreatitis with Syndrome of Bowel Excess and Heat Bind
Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of the therapy of Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine for acute pancreatitis with syndrome of bowel excess and heat bind. Methods: A total of 98 patients with acute pancreatitis were selected and divided into the combination group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional western medicine, and the combination group was treated with Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction on the basis of the control group. After 7 days of treatment, the clinical effects, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, recovery time of clinical symptoms, inflammatory factors and intestinal mucosal barrier function indexes were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 93.88% in the combination group, and 79.59% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the abdominal distension relief time, abdominal pain relief time, bowel sound recovery time and first exhaust time in the combination group were shorter than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the primary and secondary syndrome scores and total scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the primary and secondary syndrome scores and the total score in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of white blood cell count (WBC), C-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the levels of the three inflammatory factors in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of diamine oxidase (DAO), D-lactic acid and endotoxin in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above three indicators in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine for acute pancreatitis can further improve the therapeutic effect, enhance TCM syndromes, accelerate the recovery of clinical symptoms, reduce inflammatory responses and improve intestinal mucosal barrier function.
