Abstract： This paper summarizes Professor HUANG Suiping's experience in treating hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) in Lingnan Area based on the method of suppressing wood and supporting earth. Professor HUANG has found that in clinical practice the pathology of HG patients in Lingnan Area is often spleenstomach weakness and liver-stomach disharmony. In the treatment，the theory of suppressing wood and supporting earth is followed， with the treatment principle of fortifying the spleen and harmonizing the stomach，and soothing the liver and rectifying qi so that the liver qi will be soothed and the middle energizer will be transported，achieving the goal of relieving symptoms.
