Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Bingji Yiliu Pills combined with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and Temozolomide (TMZ) chemotherapy on malignant brain glioma. Methods: A total of 80 patients with malignant brain glioma were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with 3DCRT and TMZ chemotherapy, and the observation group was additionally treated with Bingji Yiliu Pills based on the treatment of the control group. The treatment lasted for 42 days. The clinical effects, adverse reactions and 1-year mortality were compared between the two groups, and the levels of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) were also compared before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 75.00% in the observation group, higher than that of 62.50% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum VEGF and EGFR levels in the two groups were decreased (P<0.05),and the above two levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). The 1-year mortality was 5.00% in the observation group, lower than that of 22.50% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Bingji Yiliu Pills combined with 3DCRT and TMZ chemotherapy has a significant clinical effect on patients with malignant brain glioma, with great safety and long-term effect.
