Abstract：Objective：To study the medication rules of Professor CHEN Guizhen treating perimenopausal syndrome based on data mining. Methods： The valid clinical prescriptions of Professor CHEN in the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome from January 2016 to October 2023 were collected and the database was established. Microsoft Excel 2016 was used for use frequency analysis of four qi，five flavors and meridian tropism； the network graphics in SPSS Modeler 18.0 and Apriori algorithm were used to analyze the association rules of Chinese medicine according to the setting conditions； the statistical software SPSS26.0 was used for cluster analysis of the top 20 high-frequency Chinese medicinals. Results： A total of 239 valid prescriptions were collected，involving 236 patients，and 191 Chinese medicinals were used. The results of frequency analysis showed that the symptoms with the highest frequency were insomnia，menstrual disorders and emotional disorders；the top five medicinals in frequency were Poria， Dioscoreae Rhizoma， Corni Fructus， Fried Ziziphi Spinosae Semen and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparate Cum Melle，the main channel entries are the liver，spleen and kidney，and the medicinals were mainly warm in nature and sweet in flavor. The results of association rule analysis suggested 48 medicinal combinations， represented by Dioscoreae Rhizoma-Corni Fructus-Poria； the cluster analysis showed that the medicinals used could be roughly divided into three categories，mainly including the medicinals composed of Liuwei Dihuang Pills， Chaihu Shugan San and Xiaoyao San. Conclusion： Professor CHEN believes that the basic pathogenesis of perimenopausal syndrome is kidney deficiency and kidney essence exhaustion， and spleen deficiency and liver depression. The treatment method should be tonifying kidney and replenishing kidney essence，fortifying spleen and harmonizing kidney essence，and soothing liver and regulating kidney essence，and the modified Liuwei Dihuang Pills，Chaihu Shugan San and Xiaoyao San are commonly used.
