Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Yishen Huoxue Decoction combined with Femoston on perimenopausal syndrome (PMS) of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type and its effect on the levels of sex hormones in patients. Methods： The clinical data of 82 cases of patients with PMS of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type were retrospectively selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to different treatment methods，with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Femoston，and the observation group was additionally treated with Yishen Huoxue Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 28 days. The clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated； traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores， modified Kupperman scores and serum sex hormone indexes were compared before and after treatment between the two groups； the incidence of adverse reactions was analyzed. Results： The total effective rate was 92.68% in the observation group， higher than that of 75.61% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores and modified Kupperman scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the above levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The levels of serum estradiol (E2) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05). There was no significant difference in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P＞0.05). Conclusion： Yishen Huoxue Decoction combined with Femoston for PMS of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type has a good curative effect， which can effectively relieve symptoms and signs of patients and regulate the levels of sex hormones， with high medication safety.
