Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of ear apex bloodletting combined with thumb-tack needling therapy on primary hypertension of intense liver fire type. Methods: A total of 120 cases of patients with primary hypertension of intense liver fire type were divided into the blank group, the control group 1,the control group 2 and the treatment group according to the random simplification method, with 30 cases in each group. The blank group was given general routine care;the control group 1 was treated with ear apex bloodletting; the control group 2 was treated with thumb-tack needling therapy; the treatment group was treated with ear apex bloodletting combined with thumb-tack needling therapy. The blood pressure levels and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects were compared among the four groups. Results: In 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, and 24 hours after treatment, the levels of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the control group 1,the control group 2 and the treatment group were decreased (P<0.05),and the levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the blank group, the control group 1 and the control group 2 at the same time point (P<0.05); the levels in the control group 1 and the control group 2 were lower than those in the blank group at the same time point (P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the comparison of the above levels between the control group 1 and the control group 2 at the same time point (P>0.05). After treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the control group 1,the control group 2 and the treatment group were decreased (P<0.05),and the score in the treatment group was lower than those in the blank group, the control group 1 and the control group 2 (P<0.05); the scores in the control group 1 and the control group 2 were lower than that in the blank group (P<0.05). there was no significant difference in the comparison of the above scores between the control group 1 and the control group 2 (P>0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group, higher than that of 23.33% in the blank group, 66.67% in the control group 1 and 70.00% in the control group 2 (P<0.05). The total effective rates in the control group 1 and the control group 2 were higher than those in the blank group (P<0.05), and there was significant difference in the comparison of the total effective rates between the control group 1 and the control group 2 (P>0.05). Conclusion: The ear apex bloodletting combined with thumb-tack needling therapy has a significant curative effect on primary hypertension of intense liver fire type, which is beneficial to reduce the levels of blood pressure and alleviate clinical symptoms.
