Abstract： This article summarizes and analyzes the medical cases for diagnosing and treating winddamp bi in the Linzheng Zhinan Yian (Case Records as a Guide to Clinical Practice) from multiple aspects such as the definition，etiology and pathogenesis，and treatment methods. It is believed that wind-damp bi is caused by wind-damp obstructing collaterals or the inclusion of factors such as cold，heat，and blood stasis. The treatment methods mainly include releasing the exterior and draining dampness， dissipating cold and unblocking the collaterals， clearing heat and promoting the lower， and dispelling stasis and unblocking the channels. It emphasizes to perform the functions when there is free flow and open the blocking and unblocking bi. The idea of performing the functions when there is free flow runs through the prescription and medication of Linzheng Zhinan Yian.
