Abstract: This paper introduces the clinical experience of Professor BAO Tiezhou in treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy by spine-balancing therapy. Professor BAO Tiezhou summarized the pathogenesis of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy as balance disorder, including the imbalance of spinal sinew and bone structure and local imbalance of qi and blood function. The treatment emphasizes a holistic approach, advocating the use of spine-balancing therapy, including the comprehensive therapy of highweight offset traction method, medication treatment based on syndrome differentiation of Pingle bonesetting, spinal holistic balance technique, and functional exercise. In the acute stage, the high-weight offset traction method, treatment based on syndrome differentiation of Pingle bone-setting, and spinal holistic balance technique can be used to improve the cervical spine structure, relieve nerve compression and stimulation, and restore local structural stability. In the later stages of treatment, patients are advised to wear a neck brace and persist in personalized functional exercises to restore the balance of spinal sinew and bone structure and the local balance of blood and qi function.
