Abstract： This paper introduces Professor KUANG Weihong's clinical experience in treating chronic atrophic gastritis by methods of fortifying the spleen， soothing the liver， dissolving stasis and resolving toxins. Professor KUANG Weihong believes that chronic atrophic gastritis is mostly caused by injured emotions and eating disorders， resulting in binding constraint of liver qi and spleen qi depletion， which further leads to qi deficiency，qi stagnation and blood stasis，internal obstruction of static blood，and for a long time，stasis and toxins are generated which together accumulate into disease. It is advisable to fortify the spleen， soothe the liver， dissolve stasis and resolve toxins. The following therapy can exert a great effect on the disease：Modified Sijunzi Decoction with Ficus Hirta Vahl，Bupleuri Radix，Sparganii Rhizoma and Scutellariae Barbatae Herba as the basic prescription，combined with Chinese medicines for regulating qi， dispelling dampness and dissipating masses， supplemented with exercise， mood regulation and diet adjustment.
