Abstract：By sorting out the historical literatures on a children massage technique—kneading umbilical region， to summarized the development of this technique in terms of operation methods， effects and indications. Besides， its mechansim of arrestting diarrhea and its modern clinical application were summarized from meridians and collaterals，local anatomy，holographic theory and operative methods，so as to provide more references for the clinical application of this technique in children.
