Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of thumb-tack needling for subcutaneous embedding at auricular points combined with Tamsulosin on Ureteral Stent-related Symptoms Questionnaire (USSQ) scores and satisfaction of patients with indwelling double J tube after ureteroscopic lithotripsy. Methods：A total of 74 cases of patients with indwelling double J tube after ureteroscopic lithotripsy were selected as observation subjects， and were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 37 cases in each group. The observation group was given routine care and the oral administration of Tamsulosin combined with thumb-tack needling for subcutaneous embedding at auricular points，and the control group was given routine care and the oral administration of Tamsulosin combined with auricular point seed-pressing. The treatment course covered six days， and the USSQ scores and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results： Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of USSQ scores between the two groups (P＞0.05). After six days of treatment， USSQ scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before and after three days of treatment (P＜0.05)， and showed a significant downward trend (P＜0.05)；the USSQ score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group at the same time point (P＜0.05). After treatment， the satisfaction was 97.30% in the observation group and 83.78% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Thumb-tack needling for subcutaneous embedding at auricular points combined with Tamsulosin can effectively improve the symptoms related to the pationts with indwelling double J tube after ureteroscopic lithotripsy and the quality of life，and enhance the satisfaction of treatment.
