Abstract：This paper introduces the clinical experience of Professor ZHONG Guanghui using the theory of spleen and kidney assisting each other in the syndrome differentiation and treatment of chronic kidney disease. Professor ZHONG emphasizes that the core etiology and pathogenesis of chronic kidney disease cannot be separated from the spleen and kidney deficiency，and the important role of dampness，phlegm， stasis， and impediment in the occurrence and development of the disease cannot be ignored. Clinical treatment mainly focuses on supplementing the spleen and kidney， dispelling wind and eliminating dampness，and invigorating blood and eliminating masses，while also assisted by taking into account the psychological and emotional needs of patients，flexibly using modified formulas and medicines according to the symptoms，so as to treat the root and branch simultaneously and protect the kidney function of patients while improving their quality of life.
