Effect of Yiwei Huachang Prescription Combined with Catgut Embedment in Acupoint on Gastric Function in Patients with Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Complicated with Intestinal Metaplasia of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Type
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Yiwei Huachang Prescription combined with catgut embedment in acupoint on gastric function in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis complicated with intestinal metaplasia of qi deficiency and blood stasis type. Methods: A total of 80 cases of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia of qi deficiency and blood stasis type were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group using a random number table method , with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with catgut embedment in acupoint, and the observation group was treated with catgut embedment in acupoint combined with Yiwei Huachang Prescription. Compared the clinical efficacy of two groups, and compared the changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, endothelial function index values [calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP),and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)], inflammatory factor levels [interleukin-17 (IL-17), and interleukin-10 (IL-10)],and gastric function index values [gastrin (PG),and gastrin-17 (G-17)] before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate of clinical efficacy was 95.00% in the observation group, and 80.00% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-17 and IL-10 in both groups were decreased compared to those before treatment (P<0.05), and the levels of IL-17 and IL-10 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the CGRP values in both groups were increased compared to those before treatment (P< 0.05), and the VEGF values were decreased compared to those before treatment (P<0.05); the CGRP value in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05),and the VEGF value was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the PG and G-17 values in both groups were increased compared to those before treatment (P<0.05), and the PG and G-17 values in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Yiwei Huachang Prescription combined with catgut embedment in acupoint has a good therapeutic effect on chronic atrophic gastritis accompanied by intestinal metaplasia of qi deficiency and blood stasis type, which can alleviate clinical symptoms and improve gastric function.
