Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tripterygium Glycosides Tablets in adjuvant treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome. Methods: A total of 82 patients with psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome were divided into the combination group and the control group by random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was given whole-body irradiation therapy with narrow-band ultraviolet B (NB UVB),and the combination group was additionally treated with Tripterygium Glycosides Tablets based on the treatment of the control group. Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) scores,Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) scores, skin barrier function, and inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups before and after treatment; clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions were counted. Results: The total effective rate was 90.24% in the combination group, higher than that of 73.17% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, each traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and each score in the combination group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of PASI and DLQI in the two groups were declined when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the scores of PASI and DLQI in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, moisture content and sebum content of the stratum corneum in the two groups were increased, and transepidermal water loss rate (TEWL) was dropped when compared with that before treatment (P< 0.05);moisture content and sebum content of the stratum corneum in the combination group were higher than those in the control group, and TEWL in the combination group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α) and interleukin-17 (IL-17) in serum in the two groups were declined when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the levels of TNF- α and IL-17 in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The adjuvant treatment with Tripterygium Glycosides Tablets has better curative effects on patients with psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome, which can reduce the severity of skin lesions and inflammatory reactions, regulate skin barrier function, and improve quality of life, with high safety.
