Abstract：This paper summarizes the clinical experience of Professor WU Zhongchao in the diagnosis and treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with "Beishu Functional Band". Starting from the theory of zang-fu organs，Professor WU judged acupoints，inspected the disease cause，clarified the location and nature of ankylosing spondylitis with the "Beishu Functional Band"， and differentiated the disease according to "transmission through the liver and spleen"， and "transmission through the kidney and spleen"， and "transmission through the kidney and liver"， and then correspondingly chose filiform fire needle， moxibustion and warming needle according to different symptoms to apply treatment on "Beishu Functional Band"， in order to achieve the role of harmonizing the liver and spleen， warming and supplementing the spleen and kidney，and nourishing the liver and kidney. The diagnosis method of "Beishu Functional Band" has the characteristics of judging the interior from observation of the exterior， integrated diagnosis and treatment， and treating the root and branch simultaneously， which can effectively regulate ankylosing spondylitis induced by abnormal function of zang-fu organs.
